Galaxy S III claimed Samsung executives have been ordered as many as 9 million units, which if true makes it a popular smartphone this year. Statement of mobile operators and retailers seemed to justify these assumptions.
Vodafone, one of the major operators in the UK confirm that the Galaxy S III is the most Android phones ordered. Galaxy S III will be sold in the UK in early June.
“We are very pleased with consumer response to the Galaxy S III. Galaxy S III is the Android device with the largest order to date,” said a Vodafone spokesman quoted from TechRadar, Wednesday (23/05/2012).
Similar statements were also presented by the largest mobile phone retailer in the UK, Carphone Warehouse. Many units of Galaxy S III has been ordered and 800 outlet Carphone stock your Android handset.
“Demand for pre order for Galaxy S III has exceeded expectations since the handset was revealed two weeks ago. In the first 24 hours alone there were thousands of orders at the Carphone Warehouse,” said Graham Stapleton, Chief Commercial Officer of Carphone Warehouse.
If it is proven, it seems Galaxy S III could match the success of its predecessor, Galaxy S II. Galaxy S II sold about 20 million units to date.
